Submit your very best portraiture, wildlife, landscape, still life, abstract, fibre, glass, and 3-dimensional works such as sculpture, wood carving or metal works to the “The Many Flavours of Life” exhibition.

This exhibition is a CURATED CALL, submitting artists 

YOU DO NOT have to be members of artPontiac to submit althought submission fees are lower with a membership.

First Place: $300 CA

Second Place: $150 CA

Third Place: $50 Gift Certificate Deserres

2 x Honourable Mention Awards in Title

Submission Deadline: September 15th, 2025

Announcement of Accepted Artworks September 21, 2025

Artworks must be delivered to the Gallery in the School no later than October 4th between the hours of 10a.m. and 3p.m.

Opening Date and Opening Reception: October 10, 2025, at 6:30p.m.-8:30p.m.

Announcement of Award Winners: October 10, 2025, at 6:30p.m.-8:30p.m.

End Date: November 16, 2025

Artwork take down: November 17, 2025, between 10a.m. and 3p.m.

Submission Fees and Submissions:

  • $10 for the first artwork ($15 for non members)
  • $7 for each following artwork file ($10 each for non members)
  • Payment(s) are to be made by e-transfer using the email pay@artpontiac.com.
  • Up to five artwork files may be submitted.
  • Please submit artwork files to galerie@artpontiac.com
  • Please ensure that artPontiac can correlate your e-transfer (add a note to the e-transfer with your full name and email) information with your file submissions.

Please include the following information along with each artwork file.

  • Full name and email address.
  • Size, category, technique, subject, substrate and pricing.
  • Year the artwork was completed.
  • Title of Artwork

*It is suggested that a small narrative accompany this information.

Image requirements:

  • The image must be a true copy of the original artwork in values, intensity and colour.
  • File format must be JPEG (.jpg) only. Non-JPG files will NOT be converted by artPontiac.
  • Minimum 24-bit true colours.
  • Please ensure the image you upload is cropped so that only the painting/image is visible.
  • Use a photo or image editing program to remove unwanted parts, such as frames or borders.
  • The minimum pixel size is 1500 on the longest side (for a portrait image, the height should be this size or greater, and for Landscape, the width will have to be that size or greater in pixels) at 300 ppi.
  • We recommenda pixel size of 2000 pixels on the largest dimension (either height or width).
  • The maximumfile size is 24MB. If your image file size is greater than this, use a photo or image editing program to reduce the size of the image before uploading.
  • Failure to upload files that cannot be easily viewed by the Jurors will be disqualified at the discretion of artPontiac and no refund will be issued.
  • Artwork may be disqualified if the delivered works do not match the digital file that was submitted i.e. colour or light source
  • Artists are to sign an intake form upon delivery of their artworks and must sign again upon pick up

Artwork Preparedness:

  • All artwork must be ready to hang with appropriate hanging mechanisms.
  • Artwork must be dry and not tacky to the touch.
  • All artwork must have a label on the back of the artwork with the original information that was requested
  • Please supply a duplicate label to accompany all artworks

 

Sales of Artworks and Commissions

  • All paintings must be for sale and if sold through art Pontiac’s exhibition, there will be a 20% commission payable to art Pontiac.
  • Payment for artwork must be made directly to artPontiac. artPontiac will then subtract the commission fee and forward the remaining funds to the artist. Delivery and insurance of the artworks is the sole responsibility of the artist. Failure to deliver the artwork to the buyer will result in a recovery process initiated by artPontiac. * This does not apply to paintings sold directly through the Gallery in the School.

The following styles and media are permitted and excluded:

  • All styles are permitted.
  • Permissable media: all media is permitted.

Please submit original one-of-a-kind artworks that clearly show as original and are not an infringement on copyright. Artworks may be disqualified if the Jurors assess the artwork to infringe on any copyright.

*artPontiac will do everything possible to protect works online but ultimately artPontiac is not responsible for piracy.

Artists are to sign an intake form upon delivery of their artworks and must sign again upon pick up.

Although artPontiac will do everything to protect the works while in the Gallery, it is the sole responsibility of the artist to maintain separate insurance on any artworks submitted.

Any artwork that is shipped must be shipped to a specified address. Artists are responsible for all associated return shipping costs. Please contact galerie@artpontiac.com for further information.
